Phae. Must it not have been from this spot? for the water here--abouts appears beautiful, clear and transparent, and well suited for damsels sport about.
The above seems metaphorical of a feeling I have had, that in painting the landscape-- I chase an Idea, a figure for some Ideal thought. These metaphors seem to pile up to some Whole, which seems my painting idea.
